Here is another project I have done for my sister's sister in law. These are by far my favorite burp rags (or as I call them burp clothes). By Far. Love them.

How to make them: Buy a package of the double folded white cloth diapers. You can get them at Walmart or Target. They run around $13 for 12. You
must prewash the cloth diapers. (I left this part off, but a friend blogger just reminded me. But, yes, you have to wash them first. Otherwise they will shrink and make your fabric look horrible. So, please learn from my own mistake in the past and prewash them!) Then you buy fun fabrics and measure the center of the burp rag (how ever wide you want to cover the diaper) and add about a half inch to an inch. Then you are going to fold under and sew down. I like to re-serge the bottom of the burp rags with the fabric now on top. (I have to go to my Mother's to do this because I don't own a serger. Yet. Hopefully someday.) Or you can just fold down that end and zig them down. They really are fabulous. And cute.

I chose a bunch of fun fabrics. Her colors are pink and lime green, so I found some with that and then other just fun ones. You don't want them all the same right? Hopefully she will like the fabrics I chose. And what is up next? Lots and lots of fun bibs.

I will post those once I finish them too. I might even add a few packages of them into my shop. We shall see how many I get done. I love bibs. Happiness.

Love the fabrics!
Did you pre-wash them? I made a few and put a little fabric (a few inches) at the bottom all the way across, but when I washed and dried the cloth, it totally shrunk and made the fabric look all wrinkly...
That is a seriously cute stack of burp cloths. LOVE the colors. And man oh man do I know that having (AT LEAST) 12 of them is a smart idea.
Can't wait to see the bibs!
So cute. Those colors are so beautiful together.
Um, those are way to cute to get burped up on. :) Thanks for stopping by my blog today. Looks like the party will be sooner rather than later so stay tuned!!

The Sunshine Award!! That sounds fabulous! I love those fabrics! I just used the stiped one in the owl quilt, and that floral one I wanted so badly! Adorable. That's one lucky mama!
Hi Tasha, These are super! What new mother wouldn't want a gift like this? Thanks so much for linking up on Craft Schooling Sunday, and can't wait to see the bibs! all the best, Sara
Hello sweet Tasha - I'm a new follower to your fabulous blog via Tip Junkie. These burp cloths are so cute! I would love to know if you add them to your shop. My daughter Emma loves small "blankies" and would love one of your happy ones!

These are so cute and colorful. I just bought diaper clothes and bought the wrong things. They are single sheets rather then double thickness. I am trying to figure out if I can redeem myself or bite the bullet and spend another $13 because I already washed the material. So annoying.
These are beautiful. Thanks so much for joining me at Gifts From the Heart. Please don't feel guilty I really appreciate your advice!! I would love to have more participants!! Now if you could tell my why my links are not showing up immediately on my linky party I would REALLY appreciate that too!
These are cute! Seems easy enough too. My sister is due in July. Plenty of time for me to make a whole bunch!
